ABOUT US

At the Door worship band came about through the desire to unite the city of Grande Prairie in a monthly worship service. The name "AT THE DOOR' is based out of Revalation 3:20: "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me". It is the message that God is waiting for us to respond to Him knocking at the door of the church. The band was put together representing five churches in Grande Prairie. As The Holy Spirit moved in power, the band continued to be avalible in service to the community wherever they were needed, from conferences to youth groups to Sunday mornings. They use music, scripture, story telling and multi-media to connect with people of all ages. It is ATD's desire to see people released into the freedom and healing resurrection power of Jesus Christ.

In their first four months together, they recorded a "live" album that has touched the hearts of many people around the world. In 2006 At the Door had an amazing opportunity to go and lead worship in Frankfurt, Germany during the World Cup of Soccer. Set up downtown at the main train station across from the red light district, they were able to minister to the 600,000 to 900,000 travelers that passed by daily. They saw salvations, addictions broken, and even drug addicts checking themselves into rehab - and all by the power of The Holy Spirit!

In 2007 At the Door recorded their second album; this time a studio album. Shortly afterwards they were invited to move to Choctaw, Oklahoma to partner with School of Practical Ministry. When they weren't traveling, they were teaching in the school. "Before we move to Choctaw, we knew how to lead worship from the stage, but God wanted to teach us how to minister off the stage," says leader, Peter Christensen. After a year's stay in Oklahoma, At the Door moved back to Canada where they are now based out of Grande Prairie Alberta. They are very involed with their local church and continue to host monthly worship services. "We are so excited to be back in our home land. We really believe that God has us here, in Canada, for a very significant purpose! We love our country."
